CR Photography Expeditions was born from a deep passion for nature, its conservation, and the art of photography.
Behind this project are Paúl Nájera and Emily Ortega, both deeply inspired by the magic held within tropical ecosystems.
Paúl grew up in the countryside surrounded by coffee fields and endless outdoor adventures, which from an early age sparked a profound connection to the landscapes and wildlife of Costa Rica.
He studied Ecological Tourism at the University of Costa Rica, where he built a strong foundation in hospitality, sustainable tourism, environmental interpretation, and conservation.
Over time, his love for nature merged with a growing passion for photography, which has now become his primary form of expression.
Emily, on the other hand, grew up surrounded by the lush cloud forests of Monteverde, within a community shaped by responsible tourism.
Her close relationship with nature and warm approach to visitors allowed her to develop a strong ability to create authentic and memorable experiences.
She has extensive experience in customer service and hospitality, and is currently studying Hotel Management at the Universidad del Turismo de Costa Rica.
United by our love of nature and desire to share the beauty of Costa Rica in a respectful and creative way, we decided to combine our talents and dreams to create CR Photography Expeditions: a project driven by passion, experience, and the desire to help others capture not only stunning wildlife images but also meaningful and unforgettable experiences.
